XML Conversion Utility

IDM's client received a production of native files and metadata in XML format. The data needed to searched and reviewed in an online repository that required native, tiff images and a proprietary load file. IDM developed a utility that converted the XML metadata into an Access database and linked it to the native files and converted images.

Outcome: The review team was able to integrate the XML production into their existing online document repository seamlessly.

Concordance CPL

A large Concordance database needed to be updated with OCR on a rolling basis under tight review timelines. While the database had over 1 million records, only a small number of OCR text files were to be loaded each time. IDM created a CPL that searched specified OCR directories, identified matching database records, and loaded the OCR. An Error Log identified text files without matching database records.

Outcome: The OCR load time was cut by 90% and the team was able to search and review documents much more quickly than otherwise possible.
